Biology Previous Year Question Paper CBSE Result 2018

CBSE class 12th Biology exam was held on 5th March 2017. We are here to present analysis of Biology paper of 2017 so that you can get good CBSE Result 2018

You will find biology paper average and even average or below average student can also manage to achieve good marks in biology but at the same time solving whole paper in the prescribed time was a hard nut to crack as it was very lengthy and students had a tough time in solving the paper. Surprisingly no question were based on diagram and this may have disappointed many students.

HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill) Questions This year the number of HOTS questions was not too much. Questions were direct and in easy language.

Paper Pattern

The Biology paper marking was done in two parts first was written part which was of 70 marks and second was of 30 marks which depends on overall performance in biology practical and performance in class.

The pattern of paper was quiet similar to the question paper of 2016. It was divided into five Sections- Section A and Section B, Section C, Section D, Section E. It had 24 questions out of which:

Section A had five questions which are of one mark each (very short type questions)

Section B had five questions of two marks each (you can answer it in maximum 30 to 40 words).

Section C had ten questions of three marks each (Short type questions)

Section D had one value based question of four marks

Section E had three questions of five marks each (Long type question)

Questions from all section is compulsory. Internal choices with sections are provided to student

Chapter 2- Genetics & Evolution (18 Marks)

Chapter 3- Biology & Human Welfare (14 Marks)

Chapter 4- Biotechnology & its Application (10 Marks)

Chapter 5- Ecology & Environment (14 Marks)
