Maths Last Year Question Paper 10th Board – CBSE Result 2018

CBSE class 10th Maths exam was held on 09th March 2017. We are here to present analysis of Maths paper of 2017 so that you can get good CBSE Result 2018 .

The Maths paper was easy and balanced student were very happy when they were coming out of examination hall. The questions were straight forward and direct from NCERT. In this paper average students can easily score 85 percent and toppers can manage to gain above 90 marks.

Paper Pattern

The paper was divided into four sections- Section A, Section B, Section C and Section D.

Section A- There was four questions of one marks each.

Section B- There was six questions of two marks each.

Section C- There was ten questions of three marks each.

Section D- There was eleven questions of four marks each.

linear equation in two variables, graphical problem, solution of two pair of two linear equation variable.

Quadratic Equations (5 Marks) CBSE Result 2018

Standard form of quadratic equation, solution of quadratic equation by factorization.

Arithmetic Progressions (8 Marks)

Motivation for Arithmetic Progression derivation of nth term and sun of first n term of an AP.

Triangles (4 Marks)

Definition, example of similar triangle.

Coordinate Geometry (7 Marks)

Concepts of coordinate geometry, Section formula and Area of a triangle.

Trigonometry (5 Marks)

Trigonometric ratios of an acute angle of right-angled triangle, Values (with proof) of the trigonometric ratios of 30°, 45° and 60°

App. of Trigonometry (10 Marks)

Trigonometric identities, Height and distance.

Circles (6 Marks) CBSE Result 2018

Tangents to circle motivated by chords drawn from points coming closer and closer to the point.

(Prove)  tangent at any point of a circle is perpendicular to the radius through the point of contact.

(Prove)  lengths of tangents drawn from an external point to circle are equal.

Constructions (4 Marks)

Division of a line segment in a given ratio.

Tangent to circle from a point outside it

Areas related to Circles (7 Marks)

Problems based on areas and perimeter/circumference of the above-said plane figures.

Statistics (7 Marks)

Mean, median and mode, Cumulative frequency graph.

Probability (7 Marks)
